Relationships for Better is about helping couples thrive.
My theory, based on current research, is that thriving marriages are not complete mysteries.
There are particular practices that are correlated with long-term and satisfying relationships, which in turn benefit to the world.
This is big.
What are those practices? Well, I will be sharing them with you through a new series on this blog called Relationship 101!
How did we learn how to ‘do’ relationships? Most of us learned from our parents, from peers, and from the culture around us. Although we are often shaped by genetic and environmental influences, we also have the ability to learn skills, choose behaviors, and enact virtues that shape our relationships…for better!
Are you in?
Relationship 101’s focus is on practices that are associated with thriving marriages. However, you may also notice themes that re-occur throughout this series:
- Empathy in Conflict
Now, since Relationship 101 isn’t a traditional “class”, content will take three forms:
- Vlogging (video blogging)
Let’s talk about #3. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist I am available for couples therapy sessions to help you explore thriving on a personal level in your relationship.
Relationship assessment, education, and practice are all integral to my therapy practice at Relationships for Better. You can click on the “Book Your Session” tab to connect with me, ask questions, or discuss available session times.
Looking forward to starting Relationship 101 with you!
